ACADEMICS
Laurens Academy is a college preparatory school in a Christian environment. What does that mean? Our job is providing an education that will prepare students to enter the college arena and be successful while in college. We believe the best way to carry that out is to provide an environment that is conducive to learning. A place where students and teachers feel safe and secure and as free from distractions as possible. Our college preparatory curriculum begins in K4 where we lay the strong foundation blocks that we continue to build upon each year. Upon graduation, students are prepared with the knowledge, discipline, organization, and critical thinking skills required to confidently face the challenges and opportunities they will meet.

A Christian environment means that the expectation is there to behave in a way that is pleasing to God. It also means that students and teachers have the freedom to pray with each other in the mornings or whenever needed, to ask for prayer requests for family, friends and pets and to share the blessings in our lives with one another. Our students attend chapel once a week where they learn God’s word, sing songs and pray. Lower school students can attend Bible Club after school where they can learn more about the Bible and do small service projects for the community like making cards for a nursing home. All Bible teaching at Laurens Academy is non-denominational and Christ centered.
