Recently the LA yearbook staff was challenged by their advisor, Patty Davenport, and Josten’s yearbook representative, Luke Samples to sell as many yearbook ads as possible. Samples issued the challenge to all of the 96 schools he represents, offering a new iPad Mini to the student who sold and collected payment on the most yearbook ads throughout his sales region. One student, sophomore Mariclare McEntire, rose to the occasion. Mariclare sold a total of 25 ads, totaling $2040.00. This number surpassed the next highest seller in a rival school by 9 ads.
