Parents and Student-Athletes

Our Athletic Program has had a great deal of success this school year. Our Varsity teams have played in a combined four state title games! One of our goals was to be a consistent contender on the state level, and we have certainly achieved it. We are continuing to perform in our spring program. Our baseball team is undefeated in region play and beat AAA powerhouse Ben Lippen last week. We will begin postseason play next week. Our softball season was also a success. I believe we have laid the foundation for our softball program to have success in the years to come. The golf team has also competed well in region play and will compete in the region tournament this week in Johnston. Though I am thrilled with all the success of our student-athletes, I am perhaps the most excited about our recent FCA Retreat in Garden City.  We took twenty-two students to to the Retreat, and to help put this in perspective, we have sixty-seven students in our high school. One-third of our student body attended and benefitted from a weekend where they learned how to develop a closer relationship with God.( It was also a weekend where our girls had to learn to share a bathroom and a shower with girls that they didn’t know. :))

Finally, I'd like to urge you to consider participating in some way with our Booster Club Golf Tournament on May 20th. Look for more information on the website. We appreciate your support!

Thanks, Coach Molony

Tollison named SCISA A-2A Player of the Year
Posted: Wednesday, May 07, 2008
Luke Tollison, sophomore, has been named SCISA A-2A Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.  Last year Luke landed A honors, this year SCISA combined the two divisions for one award.  For the season, he is batting .569 (29-51) with 15 homeruns, 38 RBI, 33 runs scored and seven doubles. Though just a junior, Luke has spent the last several years pursuing his dream of playing college baseball and beyond.  He'd like to play at the University of Tennessee, but Spartanburg Methodist College and Presbyterian College have showed interest.  The field should open up this summer when NCAA regulations permit all interested colleges from talking with him.

FCA Retreat Changed Us
Posted: Wednesday, April 09, 2008
The weather was nice, the music was cool, the speakers were inspiring, the games were fun and the fellowship was awesome.  It was a time for commitments and recommitments.  A time to make new friends and get to know the old ones in a new way.  Thanks to Coach Molony for bringing this experience to LA.  Where do we sign up for next year's retreat?
